A City Built on Paper. A Legacy Built on Truth.
The Origin Story In 1836, two brothers from New York sold a dream called Biddle City. They drew a sprawling metropolis on a map at the junction of the Grand and Red Cedar Rivers—complete with public squares and bustling streets. Pioneers arrived in what is now Lansing only to find a wilderness of timber and swamp. Biddle City was a "phantom settlement," a beautiful fiction sold to the bold.
But those pioneers stayed. They cleared the land, diverted the rivers, and built the capital of Michigan.
The Revival In 2014, Biddle City Creative Media wasn't founded to sell fictions, but to give Lansing’s real stories the cinematic stage they deserve. We saw the same potential in the industrial heart of Lansing that those early settlers saw in the mud.
What We Do For over a decade, we have operated at the intersection of history and high-definition. From our roots in Mid-Michigan, to our deep-dive documentaries on Lansing icons like R.E. Olds, we don't just "make videos." We beautify the landscape of creative content and, occasionally, push through the status quo to find truth.
Our Philosophy We are the "New Pioneers." We believe that every brand, every neighborhood, and every person has a "phantom city"—a dream that hasn't been built yet. Our mission is to take those raw, intangible ideas and execute them with the precision and "swift execution" that the original Biddle City lacked.
We are Lansing-born and dedicated to the art of the story.
